JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Developer to support mission-critical government contracts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, and maintaining complex databases in secure environments. This role requires a deep understanding of database architecture, performance tuning, and federal compliance standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • U.S. Citizenship (required for clearance eligibility).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in database development and administration.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database programming languages.
  • Experience with government systems and secure environments.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery planning.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator, Oracle Certified Professional).
  • Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Knowledge of ETL tools and data integration platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain relational and non-relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Optimize database performance, implement indexing strategies, and manage large-scale data migrations.
  • Develop stored procedures, triggers, views, and functions to support application development.
  • Ensure database security and compliance with federal standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST, FedRAMP).
  • Collaborate with system architects, developers, and cybersecurity teams to integrate databases with applications and infrastructure.
  • Perform data modeling and schema design for new and existing systems.
  • Support data warehousing and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Participate in audits, vulnerability assessments, and remediation efforts.
