Job Description: Spiritx is seeking a talented Database Developer to join our team. The Database Developer will play a key role in meeting the growing demand for database development to support our expanding client base. The ideal candidate will have expertise in interpreting specifications, designing technical solutions, and building robust database systems to drive digital transformation for our clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Extensive experience in database development, administration, and optimization, with proficiency in SQL and relational database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, efficient database solutions.
  4. Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing secure database architectures, including encryption techniques, access controls, and audit trails.
  5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  6. Familiarity with cloud-based database platforms (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) is a plus.
  7. Proven track record of working effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, with a strong commitment to teamwork and continuous learning.

Responsibilities:

  1. Interpret technical specifications, architectural designs, and process flows to gain a deep understanding of business requirements and functional models.
  2. Develop, enhance, and maintain database code for software applications, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security in alignment with industry best practices.
  3. Construct comprehensive technical specifications for database systems, encompassing robust cyber security measures, data integrity protocols, and disaster recovery strategies.
  4. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate database solutions seamlessly into software applications, digital platforms, and marketing campaigns.
  5. Conduct rigorous testing of database systems to identify and rectify technical issues, ensuring seamless interoperability with software applications and adherence to business processes.
  6. Generate detailed technical documentation, including database designs, data schemas, configuration settings, and operational procedures, to facilitate knowledge sharing and future reference.
  7. Implement and enforce data management policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive information, ensure regulatory compliance, and mitigate security risks.
  8. Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in database development, cyber security, and data management, and evaluate their potential impact on our solutions.
  9. Provide expert technical support and guidance to team members and clients on database-related matters, including performance optimization, troubleshooting, and capacity planning.
  10. Participate actively in code reviews, quality assurance processes, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability, efficiency, and maintainability of our database systems.
