Job Description RRD is seeking a motivated and energetic individual to join our team this Summer in Warrenville, IL! **THIS POSITION IS HYBRID** Job Summary The specific goal of the internship would be to optimize long running SQL statements and index reports to delete/modify indexes. Responsibilities The intern would review the execution plans for all STORED PROCEDURES for optimization, making recommendations for improvement, then coding, testing, and implementing approved recommendations. The intern would identify updates needed to User ID logging fields, coding, testing, and implementing those changes. The intern will analyze existing DB tables/queries, then alter, test, and implement improvements will be key. Qualifications The intern candidate should be a full-time student at an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science or related discipline. The Candidate should have knowledge of relational database concepts, experience with Microsoft SQL Server – specifically Database Design and Performance Tuning is a plus. Candidate should have exposure to all phases of software development life cycle. Strong communication and team skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a small team. Positive attitude and outstanding customer service orientation. Accuracy and attention to detail. Additional Information The rate of pay for this role at the noted location is $24.00 / hour. In addition to base pay, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay.
