Responsibilities:
Your combination of people skills and technical expertise makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. As a database engineer who specializes in SQL, you know how to manage and secure database technology. At EverWatch, you can use those skills to improve the database technology supporting our country.
On our team, you’ll provide technical expertise for database design, development, implementation, information storage and retrieval, data flow and analysis. You’ll provide your client with peace of mind as you implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of the database. You’ll use technology and tools like PostgreSQL to identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical database.
In this role, you’ll closely impact our country’s security by translating a set of requirements and data into a usable document to support the mission. With your technical expertise, mentoring, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we’ll focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers.

Qualifications:

You Have:

  • Experience with SQL and performance tuning query optimization
  • Experience with logical and physical replication, partitioning, and backup strategies
  • Experiencie with PostGIS and PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools, including pgstatstatements, Prometheus, or Grafana
  • Knowledge of Linux/Unix environments and CLI tools like psql
  • Knowledge of scripting languages for automation and tooling
  • TS/SCI with a polygraph
  • Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of experience with database engineering or HS Diploma or GED and 10+ years of experience with database engineering
