Description SSI is seeking an experienced Database Management Analyst to support a new Navy contract in Washington DC starting in late 2026. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversight of database administration environment to include provision, configure and maintain database instances in SQL and Oracle. Ensure optimal performance, scalability and availability in an integrated data environment. Perform database functions across one or more teams or clients, including designing, implementing, and maintaining new databases, backup/recovery and configuration management. Install database management systems (DBMS) and provide input for modification of procedures and documentation used for problem resolution and day-to-day maintenance. Database loading; development and management of operational procedures; environment management; database health (e.g. monitoring, proactive and reactive responses); resource planning; database upgrade planning; backup and recovery strategy planning and implementation; environment transition planning (development, test, stage, production). Mentor more junior database administrators. Requirements Active Secret Clearance Education: Bachelor’s Degree in related field Certified Information Systems Security (CISSP) Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) Experience: 15 years professional experience in engineering or IT Experience leading a team in software development and computer-based training PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Master’s degree in engineering or related field Experience: 20 years’ professional experience in engineering or IT Integrated Training and Maintenance Support Suite (ITMSS) software development experience Prior experience supporting PEO PAE Maritime IDE environment SSI is committed to non-discrimination and equal employment opportunity.
