Linked to the Reta Lila Weston Institute of Neurological Studies, the Queen Square Brain Bank (QSBB) is a part of the Department of Clinical and Movement Neurosciences at University College London, which has an outstanding international profile in all aspects of the Neurosciences.
The QSBB, founded over 30 years ago, houses one of the largest collections of brains with neurodegenerative diseases in Europe. This unique tissue resource was established through generous donation by patients and with the support of their families. The overarching mission of the QSBB is to advance the research in neurodegenerative diseases by providing high quality brain tissues and associated clinical and pathological data to researchers in the UK and worldwide.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are now recruiting an enthusiastic Database Manager to lead on the development and management of all operational, technical, and business-related aspects of the QSBB database. You will work closely with academic and administrative QSBB staff, assisting them with database searchers and data analysis, and be responsible for data access and retrieval governance and legal compliance.
The post is available immediately and is funded by the Reta Lila Weston Trust until 31 July 2026 in the first instance.
