Job Description We’re looking for a Databricks Analytics Engineer to join our Data Domain. In this role you will be primarily focused on building data models that are utilized across the enterprise for downstream analytics. You’ll also make an impact by: Develop efficient data pipelines using optimized, performant spark on Databricks Medallion architecture. Work with our Data Practice to support Data Management initiatives. Participate in discovery workshops to understand business process to capture the relevant entities and attributes for downstream analytics. Work with the product owner to design solutions that address identified pain points. Employ Cuscal infrastructure for extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using ‘Big Data’ technologies. Create and maintain Data pipelines in an efficient manner. Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the workflow and job scheduling of ETL processes. Assist in the design & development of analytic solutions built within Databricks. Perform and participate in Data modelling design and solution to process complex, large data for analysis (e.g. hierarchies of datasets, inter-relationships, partitions, views, etc.) Qualifications What you’ll bring To succeed in this role, you’ll have: 2+ years working in Spark/Databricks Understanding of Kimball data modelling and building efficient spark pipelines for data modelling transformations. Good knowledge in Databricks, Delta lake and Data modelling techniques. Experience in one or more programming languages, Python preferred Experience debugging and writing SQL queries. You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following: Experience in Analytics and PowerBI preferred. Experience in the financial services or payments sector Experience working with any meta data based ingestion frameworks. Knowledge of Software Delivery Lifecycle techniques and methodologies Run problem management process to isolate root cause, sound exposure to change and release management methodologies Knowledge and experience working in a team using Scrum methodologies Additional Information Why Cuscal?
