Job Description We are looking for an experienced Source Inspection & Quality Control Engineer to carry out vendor/manufacturer inspections and quality surveillance of electrical products and/or assemblies at source, ensuring full conformity prior to shipment and delivery to the project site. The role specifically requires experience in Data Centers. Role Purpose The role involves a detailed assessment of products and/or services at the supplier’s premises to confirm that their condition, functionality, workmanship, and safety meet agreed quality standards, approved specifications, regulatory requirements, and Owner/Client requirements. Key Responsibilities Perform source inspections at manufacturer locations to verify compliance before dispatch. Execute inspection activities across the full manufacturing lifecycle, including: Pre-production inspections (readiness review, documentation checks, materials/components verification) Manufacturing / production surveillance and in-process / in-line inspections (hold/witness points, workmanship checks, process compliance) Final inspections, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and functional/performance verification Pre-shipment inspections (packing, preservation, labelling/marking, documentation completeness) Review and verify compliance against: Approved drawings/specifications and data sheets Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) / Quality Control Plans (QCPs) Applicable codes/standards and regulatory requirements Owner/Client project requirements Identify and record non-conformities; raise NCRs where required and follow through closure of corrective actions. Qualifications Degree or HND Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or closely related discipline). Recognised technical training/apprenticeship background is an advantage. 10–15 years’ experience supporting HVAC systems for mission-critical (e.g., data centres, hospitals, laboratories) and/or industrial facilities. Strong exposure to vendor/manufacturer environments, including quality surveillance and inspections at source. Additional Information Please note this is a freelance role and candidate will need to based near one of the follow locations: Vadodara Pune or Goa.
