Full-time, 35 hours/ week, Hybrid

Are you a data enthusiast with a knack for designing and implementing efficient data solutions?
We are looking for a DataOps Developer to join our team, focusing on designing, building, deploying, and maintaining scalable data pipelines that power business intelligence, analytics, system integration, and data exploration. In this role, you will ensure the integrity, security, and performance of large datasets while supporting solution architecture and contributing to innovative, data-driven decision-making at Alectra.
What you’ll do

Education & Technical Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in a related field is an asset.
  • Expertise in designing and developing data structures and data transformation.
  • Proficiency in building data pipelines and solutions on cloud service providers like Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, with a preference for Microsoft Azure.
  • Skilled in using query languages such as SQL and SparkSQL

Experience

  • 5+ years of practical experience with data systems, ETL, data processing, and analytics tools.
  • Experience in implementing data processing methods for batch or streaming data ingestion, processing, and storage frameworks.
  • Strong hands-on working experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure services such as Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Data Lake, Azure Analysis Services, Databricks/Spark.
  • Experience in writing test suites and implementing continuous integration and version control using tools such as Git and Azure DevOps.
  • Proficiency in Scala, Spark, or Python.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI

  • Ability to adapt quickly and leverage innovative technologies and systems.
  • Strong research, both qualitative and quantitative, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams, convey complex ideas clearly, and build strong professional relationships. Energetic and enthusiastic team player.
  • Must hold and maintain a valid Class “G” driver’s license

  • Play a key role in creating and approving data standards, policies, and business rules, and selecting tools to support them.
