Description:

MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • Hands on experience in using Data Stage 8.5 and higher versions of the tool.
  • Extensive experience in working with databases such as Oracle, SQL, DB2 including PL/SQL scripting.
  • Experience in data modeling techniques and processes with large volumes of data.
  • Experience in Unix Shell Scripting and hands-on experience in Linux.
  • Experience in data profiling and data quality analysis.
  • Experience in Waterfall and Agile SDLC methodologies.

GOOD TO HAVE SKILLS:

  • Application domain knowledge in Finance/Banking.
  • Experience in using Datastage 11.x
  • Experience in solution architecture.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand business requirements and create design documentation. Get Design documentation reviewed and signed off. Design, prototype, develop, test, and document ETL and related components.
  • Contribute to the data modelling effort and ensure data model is optimized for performance.
  • Deliver ETL and related components as specified in the design, functional and non-functional requirements, within established budget, time and quality standards.
  • Perform unit testing of ETLs and related components and document test results.
  • Correct testing defects and support all testing, including Unit Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, User Acceptance Testing, and Performance Testing.
  • Complete code reviews for ETLs and related components, and guide the development team in delivering optimized code.
  • Perform troubleshooting on ETLs, Identify application bottlenecks and optimize performance.
  • Provide innovative solutions to complicated ETL-related problems
  • Perform code version control activities.
  • Coordinate with vendor for resolution of issues.
