This role is for an Day Centre Co-ordinator for adults with a variety of learning disabilities and complex needs.
The ideal candidate would ideally have some knowledge/experience of working with adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs, although not essential.
General working hours will be between 9am-16:30pm (these hours can be flexible for the right candidate), although you may be asked to work additional hours to assist with transport and other duties.
The main role of an Day Centre Co-ordinator will be to plan and run daily sessions within the day centre and out in the community. We would like the candidate to organise fund raising events throughout the year as well as helping to create fun and enjoyable daily activities.

Your day-to-day would include the following:

  • Develop, plan, implement & oversee the staff allocations, activities, outings & events for the people in our care
  • Provide fun & constructive leisure time, as well as appropriate physical & emotional support
  • Ensure the provision of staff, space & materials for all activities
  • Oversee the creation of promotional materials for events
  • Complete daily allocations
  • Directing and supporting other staff

  • Experienced in planning, resourcing & carrying out events & activities
  • Have good knowledge of learning disabilities and autism – adapting your approach/activities to suit the service

You will have full support of the management as well as the staff to assist within the role.
You will be asked to organise and complete a weekly plan for activities to your manager.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Permanent
Pay: £24,004.50-£24,277.50 per year
