Job Details Job Location: GA-AUK Augusta Kroc - AUGUSTA, GA 30904 Position Type: Seasonal Full Time Education Level: High School Diploma/GED Salary Range: $10.00 - $10.00 Hourly Job Shift: Any Job Category: Child Care Plans, implements, coordinates, and supervises an assigned group of children and youth; promotes quality of programs and safety of campers at all times; provides guidance and role modeling to campers; promotes and stimulates camper participation; coordinates and leads campers through their daily schedule ensuring punctuality and responsibility; supervises campers during unscheduled program time and evenings; ensures compliance with camp rules and regulations at all times. Key Responsibilities: Provides constant care for the needs of the children in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy Builds and maintains effective and positive relationships with parents in order to ensure an enriching and nurturing experience for their children. Develops and implements hands-on activities which are age appropriate. Determines appropriate supplies and materials are available at all times; ensures the children’s safety in utilizing the same. Provides opportunities for physical and mental stimulation through both inside and outside activities. Physical Working Conditions: Ability to meet attendance requirements; Some physical requirements of the Camp Counselor position could be endurance including climbing, standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate activities are required. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/programs and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Have a willingness to work irregular hours delivering a program in the facility available. Operate with daily exposure to the sun and heat and varying environmental conditions. What We Are Looking For In You High school diploma or G.E.D., AND TWO (2) years’ experience teaching child development programs in a church or pre-school, OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
