Benefits: Flexible schedule Free food & snacks Training & development We are hiring multiple camp counselors for our fun packed day camp program, Camp Blue Sky, held in our unique school age facilities at LeafSpring School in Hanover! Schedule Seasonal position from June 1-August 21, perfect for teachers or college students! 8 hour shift Monday-Friday with small breaks throughout the day Responsibilities Driving for offsite activities such as swimming and field trips (see below for driving requirements) Leading your group of campers (no more than 15 campers) in their daily activities such as Art, Archery, STEM, Cooking, and Team Building, Theater, and Sports in our specialized rooms Interacting with campers in a positive and meaningful way Actively participating and engaging in play and activities Helping to give campers the best day, every day! Qualifications Experience working with children in a camp or childcare setting Strong childcare skills and knowledge of childhood development Ability to manage a large group of children and handle behaviors in a kind and positive manner Ability to work with other counselors to provide an exceptional camp experience Certification in CPR/First Aid and MAT (training will be provided to those who do not have their certification) Ideal candidate will meet our driving requirements: over 21, driving for 5+ years, clean driving record
Responsibilities
Counselors will lead their assigned group of up to 15 campers through daily activities such as Art, Archery, STEM, Cooking, Theater, and Sports in specialized rooms. They are also responsible for driving the group for offsite activities like swimming and field trips.
