Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Day Cleaner to help maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming environment at a premium client site. While you will be stationed at the client’s premises on a full-time basis, your employment will be with Berkeley Cleaning Services.
In this role, you will carry out cleaning duties throughout the premises during business hours, including offices, meeting rooms, restrooms, café areas, and staff amenities. Cleaning during the day is limited to non-intrusive tasks to avoid disrupting the workplace.
As the primary cleaner onsite during the day, you will be required to communicate regularly with your Berkeley Cleaning Services supervisor and Head Office and consistently uphold our high standard of service.
To complement your role, a second cleaner will attend overnight to reset the building by performing tasks that cannot be completed during business hours, such as vacuuming and mopping.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Following a schedule of work that includes daily, weekly and monthly standard cleaning tasks, such as:

  • Wipe and sanitise waiting area tables and staircase handrails
  • Spot cleaning entrance glass, glass partition walls, glass doors
  • Tidy and wipe meeting room tables, sideboards, and reposition furniture
  • Remove rubbish and reline bins as needed
  • Maintaining bathrooms by replenishing paper goods, soaps, cleaning toilets and urinals, sinks and mirrors, always keeping them clean and tidy
  • Maintaining tea points and kitchenette’s by wiping down surfaces, cleaning sinks, cleaning appliances, managing dishwasher cycles and emptying bins
  • Daily cleaning of coffee machines
  • Returning café glassware, crockery and cutlery to the café
  • Spot sweep floors for crumbs and spills
  • Monthly deep cleaning tasks such as skirting boards, kick plates, and dust large screens, polishing the lift and dusting window frames
