JOB DESCRIPTION

La vie en Rose are currently looking for experienced and passionate Complex care assistants who have experience supporting individuals with complex care needs in comfort of their own home.
We are currently supporting a young lady in her mid-20s who has complex needs in Meysey Hampton, near Cirencester, GL7. She requires support during both day and night. She enjoys going shopping, to the gym, and swimming. She requires support from her Personal Assistants to complete these hobbies. She is passionate about fashion and beauty, and she loves listening to music.
Client has a complex health history – the main issues are Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. This young lady has been diagnosed with Autonomic System Failure, Functional Neurological Disorder (FND), which causes seizures when her pain is not controlled, Neurogenic bowel and bladder issues and Bilateral hip replacements. She is wheelchair dependent.
The client requires team members who are fun, bubbly, enthusiastic, motivated, and up for having a good laugh but who also at the same time, treat the client with sensitivity and respect in a professional manner.
*We are looking for a reliable and caring second team member to join our care package. This is a permanent position for two flexible days per week, with the opportunity for additional hours to cover holidays, extra appointments, or when more support is needed.

There is also the potential to pick up hours in another complex care package if you are seeking full-time work.

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE WILL INCLUDE:

  • Assisting with activities of daily living, domestic duties, and personal care.
  • Maintaining and updating reports such as care plans using DSC (Digital Social Care).
  • Helping with the preparation of meals and drinks.
  • Taking the client out using her vehicle.
  • Supporting the client with her daily chores and duties, but also just having a good, fun time with her.
  • Assisting the client with self-administration of medication.
  • Offering emotional support.
  • Monitoring the service user’s condition.
  • Demonstrating good communication skills.
