JOB SUMMARY:

The Working Cleaning Supervisor is a hands-on leader responsible for overseeing the cleaning team while actively participating in cleaning duties. This role ensures high cleaning standards, effective team coordination, and compliance with safety procedures across the site during assigned shifts.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices (e.g., safe chemical use, PPE).
• Physically fit to perform manual cleaning duties for the duration of the shift.

• Lead by example by performing cleaning tasks alongside the team.
• Allocate duties and supervise cleaning staff during the shift.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure all areas meet required standards.
• Provide training and guidance to new and existing team members.
• Monitor attendance, break times, and task completion.
• Communicate effectively with site management regarding tasks, issues, or special requests.
• Ensure adherence to company procedures and WHS regulations.
• Maintain cleaning supplies, equipment, and site logs.
• Report incidents, maintenance issues, or staffing concerns promptly.
• Participate in toolbox talks, audits, and ongoing improvement initiatives.
