We are the first Curiosity Approach accredited setting in Trafford, we are looking for someone who is mature, experienced and focused on delivering excellent standards of care with a natural ability to lead a team and always be willing to go above and beyond.
This isn’t a temporary job, a stop-gap or somewhere you only stay for 6 months.
Our children need your commitment, your love, support and nurturing.
Our focus is on children learning and developing through natural curiosity and real-life experiences. We use our “environment as the third teacher”.
We follow ‘in the moment planning, so you need to be able to support, facilitate learning. You must understand PLAY and child development.

The role requires the Floor Manager:

• To lead and promote The Curiosity Approach throughout the nursery.
• To plan and deliver effective daily management of the nursery, all relevant legislation, plus local authority and OFSTED requirements.

Comply with environmental, health and safety and fire regulations.
Keep up to date with developments in early years care and legislation.
Forming relationships with relevant agencies, schools and childcare professionals.

Attend training sessions both in and out of allocated working hours.

• To ensure the provision is of the highest quality; providing a safe, stimulating and caring child-centred environment catering for the children’s educational and developmental needs.
• To ensure that all quality and safety standards are maintained in the nursery at all times.
• To liaise closely with parents/carers.
• Provide care for babies and young children from birth to 5 years.
• Create a safe and stimulating environment to promote learning.
• Effective partnership with management, colleagues and other professionals as required including family support workers, speech therapists, SENCO.

The ideal candidate:

• Full time hours with immediate start.
• Level 3 childcare or above qualification.
• At least 2 years’ room lead experience.
• Excellent knowledge of OFSTED requirements and has had experience of inspections.
• Hold relevant Safeguarding Qualifications.
• DBS certificate/ Clean criminal record
• Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
• Paediatric First Aid

Desirable skills:

• EYT/EYP qualification
• Forest School Teacher qualification
• Experience of The Curiosity Approach
