Description Responsibilities: The OR Nurse plans and delivers patient care Collaborates with the surgical team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients Perform pre-operative assessments, including reviewing patient histories and conducting physical examinations Perform scrub functions including selection and handling of instruments and supplies during procedures Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording and communication of patient condition Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the surgical process Assist with specimen collection, processing, and documentation Educate patients and family Plan continuum of care What you will need Required: Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree (with requirement to obtain a BSN/MSN within a specific time frame) Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse. BLS certification (American Heart Association) At least 1 year of nursing experience in a surgical setting (scrubbing and circulating) Preferred: BSN or MSN preferred
