Description

Overview As a Day Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of the ePlus facility. Your Impact The essential functions of this position include: Daily interior cleaning of the building, including emptying waste receptacles, debris and trash removal, dusting and cleaning furniture, cleaning and restocking restrooms, washing walls, polishing, mopping floors, placing down mats/runners in inclement weather, cleaning up spills, cleaning windows and window coverings, etc. in accordance with established procedures. May be required to perform exterior building and premises cleaning and basic maintenance, including exterior walls and windows, parking lots and structures, walkways and paths, gardens and lawns, outdoor furnishings, curbs/gutters, exterior hallways, and stairwells, etc. Other assigned duties may include assisting with inventory control, supply ordering, and restocking cleaning and office supplies. Expected to promptly notify management of spills and emergency situations, need for major and minor building/facility repairs, lights that are out or broken, broken equipment and fixtures, damaged structures, ruptured pipes/plumbing, problems with heating/cooling and ventilation and any other observable safety issues/concerns. Expected to properly and safely use and operate related equipment, tools, devices, and chemical/cleaning agents, including mops, vacuums, electric polishing machines, and special cleaning solutions in order to efficiently perform the duties and to avoid harming floors, fixtures, individuals, and themselves. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of one year of prior experience Position Specifics The initial base salary range for this position is expected to be between $22.00 and $25.00 hourly. The final base salary offered will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, depth of experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. In addition to the base salary, our compensation structure may include other components such as commissions and discretionary bonuses. ePlus offers a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility, employee stock purchase program and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and personal leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an offer of employment is extended.
