CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES * Monitor and coordinate healthcare services for individuals attending Day Habilitation programs * Conduct nursing assessments and health reviews * Communicate with physicians, specialists, pharmacies, and interdisciplinary team members * Review medical documentation and physician orders * Assist with medication and treatment oversight * Support health-related goals and person-centered outcomes * Respond to health concerns and provide nursing guidance NURSE EDUCATOR RESPONSIBILITIES * Train and mentor Direct Support Professionals and program staff * Provide health-related education and coaching * Support compliance with OPWDD regulations and Agency policies * Assist with competency validation and skills development * Promote best practices in health services and person-centered supports WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR You are a nurse who: * Loves teaching and mentoring others * Enjoys building relationships rather than rushing from patient to patient * Values teamwork and collaboration * Wants to work in a mission-driven environment * Is passionate about improving the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities * Believes nursing is about both clinical excellence and human connection QUALIFICATIONS * Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license * Strong clinical assessment and communication skills * Experience in developmental disabilities, community health, education, long-term care, case management, or related settings preferred * Knowledge of OPWDD services is a plus * Valid driver's license preferred THE BEST PART?
