Description Job Summary The primary responsibility of the Material Handler is to ensure accuracy of material used in the Extrusion process. Assist the Extrusion team where needed. This position requires a high level of experience and handling of a forklift. Duties/ Responsibilities: Verify current silo mix Recognize differences in materials in use Pull accurate material and fill appropriate ratio of materials into silos Plan production tasks and schedules according to customer orders. Sort Pallets (Good / Broken / Foreign) Move to storage after full Sort used bags Check Dryer tanks – Temp, Fill levels, Flow, D.P. Readings Clean Dust Tanks and Socks Clean Tanks / Vacuum Pump areas Check Regrind bags Clean and organize various sized cardboard cores. Assist Extrusion Operators with machine shutdown/startup Assist with clean up of purge Assist with Roll Changes Assist with Screen Changes Adhere to company standards and production policies to meet company objectives. Performs other related duties, as assigned. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: Experience in a manufacturing environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with a diverse audience at various levels Excellent time management and organizational skills. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Detail oriented and commitment to follow through to completion. Strong interpersonal skills; Strong team player Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Education and Experience: High School Diploma required. Minimum 3-5yrs Forklift experience Physical Requirements: · Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and walking Must be able to safely operator a forklift
