This position is for you if you’re able to treat others with dignity, compassion, and respect, even in life’s most challenging moments.   Your responsibilities in this role may include: * Perform initial nursing assessment for clients within 24 hours of admission in accordance with established program policies and state regulation. * Arrange appropriate appointments with Health Care Providers to secure complete physical examinations, as well as required additional health screenings and supplemental tests. * Administer medications, as well supervise the self-administered medications, where appropriate and allowed by regulation. * Maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies and accurate records of same in compliance with governing regulations and agency policy. * Counsel clients on nutrition, health care, self-care, symptom management etc. * Ensure that clients have appropriate medical coverage to guarantee safety, adequate care, and provider compliance for payment. * Ensure proper storage of supplies as required by regulation. * Assist in the facilitation of special events, including, but not limited to: staff training, staff retreat, workshops and facility events. * Implement health seminars, including, but not limited to: HIV/AIDS, nutrition, medication education, infectious diseases, mental health, etc. * Participate in treatment/multidisciplinary team meetings, as directed. * Implement and assure adherence to infection control policies and practices. * Provide education for clients regarding health, nutrition, safety, and medication compliance. * Maintain LPN license with good standing. * Other related duties as assigned by Nurse Manager or designee. Qualifications for this role:   Education/Training: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing. Must have good standing license (RN) valid in the state in which clinical will practice. Must also possess current CPR Certification.   Experience: New Grads and Newly Licensed LPNs and RNs are welcomed and encouraged to apply as direct job experience is not a requirement for this position. We are eager to teach those that are fast learners, are confident, and can successfully meet the required expectations for this position!   RN 1: May be recent graduate of approved nursing school with up to one (1) year experience. RN 2: Two (2) to five (5) years nursing experience, with one (1) year in addictions, mental health, or related specialty.
