Description The Day Support Program Manager, in collaboration with the Senior Director of Program Operations/DD Waiver Services, provides operational oversight of assigned day support locations. This includes the development and implementation of all program curricula and activities within program building and in the community to meet the needs, choices, and interests of the individuals supported in the program. The Day Program Manager will work with appropriate parties to ensure required documentation and forms are completed for files and billing, ensuring effective fiscal management as well as the supervision of direct support professionals working in the program. Helton House provides support to adults with disabilities and the mission of the programs is to provide skill building, safety supports and other person-centered support services to individuals diagnosed with mental, developmental, and intellectual disabilities. Responsibilities Provide oversight and supervision to all direct support professionals Complete and review daily, monthly and quarterly documentation Plan and coordinate meaningful events for individuals Know, understand and follow the day support handbook, DBHDS/DMAS regulations, human rights and company policies Assist with training new hires Respond to medical, behavioral and other emergencies appropriately and in a calm manner Works cooperatively with the individuals receiving services, co-workers, supervisors, and people in the community (CSB’s, Case Manager’s, Department of Social Services, Social Security Administration, Physician, dentists, families etc.) to ensure that all services are coordinated to benefit the individual Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; education in a human services related field preferred Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities required One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred Computer experience and proficiency required Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to lead a team Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage/prioritize multiple, often competing, priorities Most have excellent customer service skills and be able to communicate professionally and clearly
