QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience as a Team Leader (current or previous).
  • Strong knowledge of personnel management, organisational change, process improvement, and communication principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively to achieve workflow targets.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and their application in a production environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and SAP.
  • Familiarity with asset management processes.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Day Team Leader to join our By Products Department in Port Pirie. In this role, you will lead a team to ensure the safe and efficient production of activities within the department. You will also analyse plant data to assess process issues and recommend effective solutions.
This is a residential role based in Port Pirie, South Australia, operating on a days only roster, Monday to Friday 40hrs a week. Relocation assistance will be provided to the successful candidate if required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide leadership and support to resolve day-to-day issues impacting safety, environmental compliance, and production.
  • Facilitate and assist with business improvement initiatives.
  • Manage production variance processes.
  • Develop team members, plan for succession, and maintain operational flexibility.
  • Ensure high standards of housekeeping, hygiene, fume, and dust suppression within the work area.
