ABOUT US:

Connections Community Services Society (CCSS), a non-profit organization established in 1974, is committed to empowering our diverse community through inclusive and innovative programs. We are currently seeking a dynamic, organized, and passionate Daycare Centre Manager to lead the operations of our newly established licensed daycare program.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Daycare Centre Manager is responsible for the overall operation, compliance, administration, recruitment, and development of the daycare program. This includes program planning, team supervision, curriculum implementation, parent communication, licensing requirements, and ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all children.
The ideal candidate brings extensive leadership experience in early childhood education, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of BC licensing standards.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

· Current BC Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate and License to Practice in BC (required).
· A degree in early childhood education, family studies, social work, or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in licensed childcare setting, including at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
· Demonstrated experience setting up or launching a new childcare facility.
· Strong knowledge of BC Child Care Licensing Regulation.
· Valid First Aid and CPR certificate.
· Food Safe certification.
· Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
· Special Needs certification is an asset.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
· Passion for child development and community service.
· Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends, as required.
· A valid BC driver’s license and access to a vehicle are considered assets.
