POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a reliable and caring Cook to join our daycare team. The ideal candidate will enjoy preparing nutritious meals and snacks for children, while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience cooking in a childcare, school, or food service setting preferred
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices (Food Handler’s Certificate is required)
Ability to follow dietary restrictions and prepare child-friendly meals
Strong organizational and time management skills
Friendly, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Plan, prepare, and serve daily meals and snacks that meet state childcare nutritional guidelines
Follow allergy restrictions and dietary needs for individual children
Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen and food storage area
Keep accurate records of menus, food inventory, and meal counts
Order and organize food supplies as needed

Support the overall daycare team by ensuring mealtimes are positive and smooth for children

• Assist in classrooms during staff lunch breaks or as needed.

Support special events or celebrations with food preparation and service.
