JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in various kitchen tasks in a childcare facility, ensuring a smooth and efficient food service process. This role is essential for independently maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety while supporting the daycare staff in delivering exceptional meals.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with food handling and safety practices is essential.
• Basic cooking skills and knowledge of meal preparation techniques are advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.

• Assist in food service preparation, including taking temperatures, plating meals, keeping track of the number of children, and allergies.
• Help with cleaning and organization of food service independently or under the supervision of the head chef.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
• Support meal preparation by assembling meals and ensuring they are ready for service.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled and stored properly.
• Collaborate with daycare staff to ensure timely delivery of meals and maintain a positive work environment.
