JOB OVERVIEW

The Kitchen Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen within our establishment. This position is responsible for ensuring that all food preparation and cooking processes meet our high standards of quality and safety. The Kitchen Manager will manage inventory, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment while preparing food and snacks for children. Meals are pre cooked, and will only need to be warmed up.

SKILLS

  • Strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations.
  • Previous daycare experience is highly desirable, along with extensive kitchen experience, is an asset but not required
  • Experience in the food industry, with an understanding of hospitality standards is an asset but not required.
  • Level 1 early childhood hood educator certification is an asset, but not required.
  • Must have, or be willing to obtain good handlers certification right away.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour

Licence/Certification:

  • Police check/vulnerable sector check (preferred)
  • Food handler/ food safety certifications (preferred)

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety standards.
