About the Job The DB Expert is responsible for database administration in the area of the ABS Germany database. The ABS (Allianz Business System) database contains all customers, contracts and claims of the German Allianz companies. The data model must be adapted to new core releases and new requirements of the German Allianz companies at regular intervals. To do this, the various development, test, integration and production environments must be adapted. What you do Execution of all database activities related to recurring ABS core release changes, which are as the follows: Creation, modification and operation of DB2 Linux databases including data migrations and performance analysis Therefore Usage of tools and utilities in the DB environment such as load, runstats, reorg, etc Creating scripts to automate the activities (python/ansible) Support of the projects from the data model to technical implementation in test databases and deployment in the productive database Import of the ABS core software delivery Set-up and operation of the development, test and integration environments Analysis and understanding of business requirements related to the concrete business area she/he is operating in and coordination of customer requirements Implementation of release changes including necessary off-hours availabilities based on the release schemes and procedures used by Allianz Business-driven enhancements/optimizations (e.g. closing functional gaps, improving processes from a profitable point of view, optimizing performance and/or resource consumption) Implementation of necessary changes (e.g. legal and technical requirements, release change / maintenance) Adherence to security and compliance standards of Allianz typically driven by VAIT and DORA Elimination of functional and technical errors Problem management (error categorization, estimation and resolution, user support, ticket processing) Fixing availability issues of applications & systems (system downtime, application abort errors, etc.) Checking and correcting data inconsistencies and performing corrective counter measures Collaboration in the creation of technical and implementation concepts and development, validation and deployment of the results What you bring DB2 LuW and Linux Knowhow Relevant work experience in database engineering ABS KnowHow desirable.
