QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years’ experience. Additional 6 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
  • Department of Defense security clearance (ADP II Public Trust) or the ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to obtain ITIL4 certification.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred QUalifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years’ experience. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL and knowledge of various DBMS like Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.
  • Understanding of relational database design, normalization, and data modeling.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, access controls, and encryption techniques.
  • Understanding of database performance metrics and techniques for optimizing queries and indexing.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve database issues, identify performance bottlenecks, and troubleshoot errors
Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a Database Administrator (DBA) to support the DHA Solution Delivery Division (SDD) Clinical Support PMO (CSPMO) for assigned product lines. The DBA will be responsible for managing and maintaining database systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability.
Responsibilities :

Develop database design, implementation, performance optimization, and backup and recovery.

  • Create and modify database structures to meet specific business needs.
  • Adjust database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.
  • Implement security measures to protect sensitive data from unauthorized access and breaches.
  • Regularly back up data and implementation of recovery procedures in case of system failures.
  • Monitor database activity, resolving performance issues, and managing user access.
  • Work with developers and other stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure database functionality.

Skills:
