Our Defined Contribution Consulting (DCC) Business Unit works with all types of DC Pension schemes to provide advice on investment strategy, portfolio construction and implementation, as well as working with product providers and retail advisors to deliver the latest investment proposition innovation.
This offering is a key component of our consulting services and helps firmly establish us as a UK market leader in this area. Our diverse client base for these services spans both corporate and trustee bodies across a wide variety of business and industry sectors, as well as local government pension schemes and other public sector clients.
As part of our continued growth we have an exciting opportunity to join this Business Unit as a DC Analyst, and we are excited to welcome applications for this role.

  • Previous experience of working within (or exposure to) the UK Pensions Market, gained in either a DC or DB background - or an enthusiasm to progress your career within this area.
  • A degree in maths, economics or other related discipline or similar experience gained within the workplace
  • The ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and to communicate effectively
  • Working with large sets of detailed data and other forms of information with an analytical mindset
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work quickly and accurately using your own initiative.
  • The ability to work in a way that is aligned to our four core values of being friendly, partnering, straightforward and confident
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to multi-task
  • First class IT skills (in particular the suite of Microsoft Office tools)
    We expect those with an interest in this opportunity to be studying towards an industry recognised qualification, such as the IFoA, CFA or other related qualification – or to be excited about beginning their journey towards this.

Responsibilities

As a DC Analyst you will play a key role in within the Business Unit, supporting with a variety of projects across the team and providing practical support to our client facing consultants, as you develop your knowledge and experience of the UK DC Pensions market.
A key part of this role will be to formulate advice for our clients on all aspects of our DC Consulting Service for peer review by our experienced consultants, as well as getting involved with a variety of projects and initiatives across the Business Unit. This will include areas such as pension scheme vehicle advice, investment advice, at retirement advice, pension benefit design and provider platform assessments.
