Job Description Your tasks Take ownership as inverter integration HW engineer and be responsible for a power electronics component, from conceptual design and functional specification to validation and series production readiness for New Energy Vehicles. Perform detailed requirement engineering and create comprehensive technical specifications for DC-link capacitors. Responsible for the component’s design, simulation and measurement. Detailed electromagnetic and thermal simulation using FEM simulation tool. Component characterization by measurement and verification of simulation model. Planning, coordinating and analyzing component test and qualification with automotive standards. Creation of requirements and test specifications for suppliers. Supplier management and technical support of suppliers. Supplier evaluation based on technology and quality. Cross-Domain-Collaboration for seamlessly integrating the component into the overall inverter system. Qualifications Your profile Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Electronics, Physics, or a related field with at least 3 years of professional experience in hardware development. Experience in FEM simulation tools (e.g., Comsol, Ansys, etc.). Experience in technical supplier management. In-depth knowledge of power electronics and specific requirements for passive components in NEV applications (traction inverters). Familiarity with various power electronics topologies, experience with automotive power electronics products or high-power switching power supplies is a strong plus. Highly motivated, proactive, and a quick learner with a strong sense of responsibility.
