We are now seeking an experienced DC Operations Manager to join our high‑performing team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our New Zealand supply chain.About the Role As the DC Operations Manager, you will oversee the day‑to‑day performance of our Distribution Centre, ensuring safe, efficient, accurate and cost‑effective operations. You will lead frontline teams, optimise labour and automation performance, and drive continuous improvement across all warehouse functions. This role is critical to delivering exceptional service to our retail network and supporting the Head of DC Operations in achieving all safety, quality, productivity and financial targets. 🔧 Key Responsibilities DC operations leadership — Manage daily inbound, outbound, replenishment and picking activities. Automation & labour optimisation — Monitor materials handling systems and workforce utilisation. Safety & compliance — Enforce SOPs, H&S requirements and Sigma’s Supplier Compliance Standards. Inventory accuracy — Maintain disciplined stock handling and support cyclic counts. Financial performance — Monitor KPIs, manage cost centres and support budgeting. Continuous improvement — Lead initiatives to enhance workflows, automation and productivity. People leadership — Coach, develop and empower Team Leaders and operational staff. Cross‑functional collaboration — Work closely with supply chain, transport, inventory and retail teams. About You You are a confident, hands‑on leader with strong operational discipline and a passion for developing high‑performing teams. You thrive in fast‑paced environments, remain calm under pressure, and bring a continuous improvement mindset. You will bring: Tertiary qualifications in operations, supply chain, logistics or similar. Proven experience managing teams in a high‑volume distribution centre. Strong understanding of inventory management, stock accuracy and warehouse processes. Experience delivering Health & Safety initiatives. Exposure to automated warehousing systems (advantageous). Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills. Strong financial acumen and KPI‑driven decision‑making.
