Responsibilities:
It’s safe to say, there’s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key responsibilities of the role:
- Accountable for identifying overseeing production area by providing leadership to Operations Supervisor team to ensure production requirements are met on a timely basis, while maintaining cost efficiencies, operational, health and safety, quality and service standards, and positive Associate Labour Relations.
- Provides a collaborative leadership approach to a team of Operations Supervisors to deliver required production results to achieve or surpass area KPI targets on a consistent basis within the established controls, operational and health and safety standards
- In conjunction with other Managers and Operations Supervisors, responsible for developing and implementing plans based on pre-established parameters (i.e. accuracy, turn time goals) for groups of departments, daily, weekly up to 6 to 12 months out
- Continuously builds and develops talent through effective coaching, effective on-going recruitment and awareness of talent gaps in the facility
- Provides direction, advice and guidance to team members on day to day key activities; reviews project performance and provides feedback, mentors, trains and is a resource to answer questions and discuss best practices
- Responsible for managing production, forecast variances, and seasonal fluctuations and ensuring effective execution to established targets and production plans
