Description
DC Yard Jockey Driver- 2nd Shift   The DC yard jockey is responsible for efficiently and safely driving the yard truck and performing duties related to placing trailers into various spots within the locations of the facility.   Key Roles & Responsibilities: * Safely operate a yard truck with attached trailer to include backing trailer into confined spaces * Promptly moves trailers and containers to assigned dock doors as directed by DC Personnel * Utilizes computer aided Yard Management System for trailer moves * Performs all duties in a safe, accurate, and timely manner * Reports any mechanical irregularities to DC Managers at once * Maintain a clean work area at all times * Conducts other duties as required and assigned             Qualifications & Competencies: * High School Diploma or GED equivalency * Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or CDL training preferred * Experience with GPS tracking/Yard Management System equipment a plus * Safe driving record and strong emphasis on safety * Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals * Effective communication and interpersonal skills * Must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. * Tolerance for extreme heat or cold as consistent with outside weather conditions * Some overtime required including weekend work
