POSITION SUMMARY:

The Demi Chef de Partie – Production is responsible for assisting in the preparation, production, and presentation of high-quality dishes within the assigned section (Continental, Oriental, or Asian). The role supports the Chef de Partie in maintaining kitchen efficiency, ensuring hygiene standards, and contributing to a positive kitchen environment.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of kitchen experience in a professional setting, preferably within Continental, Oriental, or Asian cuisine.
  • Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts or equivalent.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and produce menu items according to standard recipes and specifications for Continental, Oriental, or Asian cuisines.
  • Assist the Chef de Partie in managing mise en place and stock rotation for the section.
  • Ensure that all food items are prepared in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in the production area at all times.
  • Monitor portions and waste to reduce food costs.
  • Follow kitchen operating procedures and safety protocols.
  • Assist with daily cleaning schedules and equipment maintenance.
  • Support junior staff and assist in their training as required.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and coordinate with service staff when needed.
