Description Position Overview: The Entry-Level Control Technician at CMS-Controls assists in the installation, wiring, and troubleshooting of building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC control components. This role offers hands-on experience with a wide range of HVAC equipment, such as chilled water systems, VAVs, AHUs, rooftop units, fan coil units (FCUs), heat pumps, boilers, exhaust fans, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, cooling towers, and economizers. Primary Responsibilities: Assist with the installation of building control panels, sensors, actuators, and field devices. Support wiring, terminations, and electrical work for HVAC and control systems. Learn to troubleshoot basic issues with systems like chilled water, VAVs, AHUs, and pumps. Read and interpret simple wiring diagrams and schematics. Assist in system startup, testing, and system verification under guidance. Follow CMS-Controls’ safety protocols and ensure a clean, organized work environment. Requirements Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical wiring, and automation concepts. Ability to read basic schematics and wiring diagrams. Willingness to learn about Distech, Siemens, and other BAS components. Strong teamwork and communication skills. High school diploma or technical training in HVAC, electrical, or automation fields.
