SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the overall oversight, planning, and implementation of the Deaf Bridges to Recovery (DBR) program. This position participates with community outreach and building and strengthening relationships with community partners. The Program Supervisor is also responsible for participating in collaborations with the corporate marketing team, managing social media (if necessary), and assisting with the intake process of all clients entering the program. When needed, this position assists program participants with managing community resource relationship in all areas (i.e., medical providers, employment partners, etc.). This position must represent the agency with professionalism, exhibit agency core values, and promote the agency’s mission.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Valid Georgia substance use credential (CACII, CADCII, CAADC, GCADCI, GCADCII, GCADCIII, MAC or applicable reciprocity credential) with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, education, counseling, rehabilitative counseling, or social work (helping profession).
  • Experience of at least 1 year managing and/or coordinating a deaf services program is required.
  • Experience of 1-2 years in mental health and/or substance use treatment program is required.
  • Experience within non-profit fundraising or outreach activities in programs that offer deaf services is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, and positive, productive people skills.
  • Experience with preparing and presenting reports.
  • Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
  • Strong knowledge of social media and other basic marketing platforms.
  • Detail-orientated with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Human Services field, Substance Abuse experience preferred.
  • Basic computer system and internet knowledge
  • Working knowledge of substance abuse, mental health, and healthcare systems preferred
  • Ability to develop and cultivate relationships with a variety of professionals.
  • Excellent public relations and public speaking skills
  • Willingness to learn new marketing strategies.
  • Experience working with diverse populations in areas to include homelessness, transgender, HIV+, various races, and different ethnic diversity, is preferred.
  • Experience working with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing population is required.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen.
  • If applicable, must possess a valid GA state driver’s license and liability insurance minimums as outlined in Caring Works Liability insurance coverage.
  • Experience as a consumer of a supportive housing program.
  • Experience facilitating skill building, motivational enhancement, and psycho-educational groups.
  • Experience with effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience as a consumer of mental health, intellectual disability, and/or substance abuse services.
  • Efficiency in Google Docs/Google Drive.
  • Ability to work with at-risk client populations (i.e., homeless, chronic illness, mental illness, substance abuse, etc.).
  • Experience in ClientTrack/HMIS a plus.
  • Experience in Sharenote or Carelogic a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day functions of all aspects of the DBR program.
  • Maintain documentation of client interaction via agency’s outcome management database systems.
  • Collaborate with property management to ensure compliance with health and safety policy and procedures affecting the program participants and staff.
  • Assists with all functions necessary for hiring, orientation, training, discipline, and dismissal of personnel for the DBR program, in accordance with CaringWorks’ policies and procedures, and that of all relevant regulatory entities.
  • Maintain operating systems necessary for ensuring quality services.
  • Assist with monitoring DBR staff’s record-keeping except his/her own documentation (which is monitored by the Clinical Treatment Coordinator).
  • Coordinates all DBR staff schedules so that all programming needs are met, and appropriate services are provided in compliance with CaringWorks and all relevant regulatory entities.
  • Conducts staff meetings and attend team meetings, and at a minimum of once monthly.
  • Participate in program coordinator’s meetings, business meetings, and assigned committee meetings as needed.
  • Maintains a small client caseload in the program and/or facilitates groups as needed.
  • Provide coverage or ensure coverage for all DBR direct care positions.
  • Compile data and submits reports, including incident reports, as required by CaringWorks and funding sources and regulatory entities.
  • Maintains relevant interagency resources, exchange of information, and other activities, appropriate for interagency collaboration efforts, while ensuring compliance with confidentiality laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with program and corporate leadership regarding the program’s budget in compliance with the grant and CaringWorks policies.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships between the community, human service entities, and inter- agency departments such as: Substance Abuse Treatment Facilities; Mental Health counselors and facilities; Hospitals, private Doctors, and other healthcare facilities; Private therapists and Social Workers; Criminal justice professionals (probation officers, lawyers, etc.); Community organizations; Health Care professionals; and CaringWorks Departments (i.e., Residential Services, Behavioral Health, etc.)
  • Conduct training sessions and presentations to community partners.
  • Develop and maintain public education materials, resources, and contact list.
  • Conduct program needs assessments, research solutions, and collaborate with DBR staff to present to leadership.
  • Attend and present at various conferences and training sessions via online platforms (i.e., zoom or in person)
  • Maintaining a calendar of outreach activities, including community events, workshops, and other communication opportunities.
  • Assisting in the organization of special events
  • Conduct intake sessions with referrals from the community and/or potential clients to determine if they meet criteria for the program.
  • Assist with all aspects of the intake process.
  • Other duties as assigned.
