POSITION OVERVIEW

The Deal Desk Team Lead (DDTL) will be responsible for Diligent’s pre-invoicing process, preparing quotes and agreements for the sales and customer success teams. This is a highly visible role that will partner with the sales, legal and finance teams to ensure customer contracts are accurately represented in salesforce (SFDC) prior to workflow integration with our ERP and invoicing. Candidates should have a customer-centric focus and be able to partner with our sales organization to ensure an efficient and accurate sales process. Reporting to the Deal Desk Manager, this role will have a high impact on Diligent’s revenue recognition and accounts receivable processes. This role will also actively participate in the integration of acquired companies. The DDTL will manage a team of Deal Desk Specialists.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Three or more years of experience in a Deal Desk or similar role.
  • Three or more years of people management experience.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership for wide-ranging responsibilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, flexibility to accommodate different situations and temperaments.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced and demanding global environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Superior organization and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Salesforce and NetSuite experience preferred.
  • DocuSign CLM or similar contracting experience preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day quote approval process, driving compliance with approval matrices.
  • Review incoming sales requests and provide guidelines on building quotes.
  • Ensuring all requests sent to the Deal Desk department are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Represent sale operations, accounting, finance, and legal interests in the structuring of non-standard deals.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Diligent products and services.
  • Support the Revenue Operations on the integration of acquired companies.
  • Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices.
  • Hire, manage and train a team of Deal Desk Specialists on their processes as well as on all aspects of Diligent’s internal policies.
  • Ensure the team are productive, adequately trained, work is evenly distributed, and positions are backed up.
  • Strong understanding of internal systems.
  • Weekly support check-ins with Sales Leads.
  • Partner with Legal on any redlining required on contracts due to SFDC output.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
  • Power of Attorney on behalf of Diligent, for commercial agreements.
