Responsibilities

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

The Relationship Manager is responsible for managing and growing revenue from a medium sized portfolio of mid-sized corporate clients by understanding their needs and delivering high-quality FX (foreign exchange) products and payment services. This role involves executing trades to help clients manage their deliverable FX exposure, exploring risk mitigation, proposing solutions/tools and optimising financial outcomes and to understand the payment requirements of clients. The role requires a strong focus on relationship management, revenue growth, and the ability to probe and ask questions to identify clients’ currency exposure and payment needs. The role requires experience and business acumen to understand business models and their inherent challenges to match tools and services to their clients’ goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Client Relationship Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned corporate clients, ensuring excellent service levels and quick response to client inquiries.
  • Develop and deepen relationships with clients by understanding their business models, financial needs, and FX exposure requirements and payment needs.
  • Provide consultative support to clients regarding FX market insights, trends, and the implications for their currency exposure.

Revenue Growth and Client Retention:

  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue by offering tailored FX and payment solutions and additional services that meet clients’ evolving needs.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including Sales and Product, to ensure client retention through value-driven services and support.

Trade Execution and Risk Management:

  • Execute deliverable FX trades accurately and efficiently, ensuring adherence to compliance and regulatory standards.
  • Manage trade settlements, confirmations, and other post-trade activities to ensure smooth, accurate, and timely processes.
  • Understand each client’s FX exposure risk and recommend risk management strategies to optimize outcomes.

Market Analysis and Client Advisory:

  • Provide clients with market updates, FX rate forecasts, and insights to support their decision-making process.
  • Analyse FX market trends and macroeconomic factors to anticipate client needs and proactively present solutions.

Collaboration and Reporting:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide a seamless client experience.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, trade activities, and revenue data for performance tracking and reporting.
  • Report on revenue growth, client activity, and other key performance indicators to management.
