Responsibilities
  • Achieve Sales Plan for Assigned Territory
  • Responsible for achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales for assigned territory of responsibility, resulting in increased market share for Toro.
  • Cultivating new orders from existing dealers within assigned territory.
  • Execute seasonal booking plans for lawn & garden and snow businesses.
  • Manage the daily release of booking orders where needed.
  • Travel territory 5 days per week, overnight travel as needed and occasional weekends required.
  • Must live in the territory, ideally in the Chicago Metro Area. The territory covers the Northeast Corner of Illinois.
  • Develop New Dealers within Assigned Territory
  • Collaborate with Channel Development team to successfully transition new dealers from Channel Development Manager to Territory Manager responsibility.
  • Work with and support New Dealer Onboarding Specialist during new dealer onboarding process.
  • Execute new dealer onboarding plans including product, sales and program training.
  • Maintain Dealer Satisfaction scores of 9+
  • Maintain a customer satisfaction score of 9.0 or better for dealers within assigned territory.
  • Assist in the development and training of dealership sales personnel in product/ marketing knowledge, selling skills and retail best practices.
  • Respond to dealer inquiries (personally or by referral within Toro) regarding: Ordering, Credit Concerns, Shipping, Shipment Tracing, Open and Floor Plan Account Spare Parts, Equipment Transfers, Programming, Prospective Dealer Inquiry, Advertising, New Dealer Processing.
  • Territory Development
  • Participate in opportunities to increase industry knowledge to promote the Company’s continuous improvement commitment.
  • Constantly research and educate self on equipment to provide solid, accurate information to customers.
  • Assist attaining credit approval on selected dealer orders from Red Iron Acceptance.
  • Oversee issuance of DAB bulletins, dealer mailings, marketing guides, and other marketing materials.
  • Attend and participate in all dealer sales meetings.
  • Represent Toro RLC products and programs to dealer network in assigned territory.
  • Leverage Technology / Systems
  • Maintain daily activity report online via Salesforce.com.
  • Leverage Toro systems for daily order management, and seasonal booking order entry
  • Execute channel communication via phone and email.
  • Utilize Power BI reporting for territory planning and communication of KPI’s.
  • Maintain customer database within Salesforce.com and MTI business systems.
  • Maintain budget / expenses for territory on a monthly basis via Concur online platform.
