Ngā Kōrero mō tēnei tūranga / About the role As a Senior Analyst within the Deals Strategy team, you’ll work as part of a high-performing, market-leading team delivering commercial due diligence and value creation insights across a diverse client base. Our clients include leading corporates, private enterprises, public-sector organisations, and government agencies across New Zealand, Trans-Tasman, and global markets. You’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of complex engagements, contributing to high-quality analysis, and helping shape strategic recommendations for clients. This role suits someone who is inquisitive, proactive, and personable, with strong analytical capability and a collaborative approach to client work. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the delivery of projects across commercial due diligence and/or value creation engagements. Conducting primary and secondary research, including industry and market analysis using online tools, proprietary databases, and public sources. Developing structured analyses such as market sizing, competitor benchmarking, customer insights, and financial/operational assessments. Assisting in the preparation of client deliverables, including reports, presentations, and discussion materials. Coordinating effectively with team members and contributing to a collaborative team environment. Building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and contributing to positive client interactions. Supporting and informally mentoring junior team members where appropriate. Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Business, or related field. At least 2-3 years’ experience in a global or boutique strategy house, or a strategy/M&A function within a large corporate. A keen interest in solving commercial problems for clients as they test and refine investment hypotheses for transactions.
