Description

Dean / Director will preferably be the Professor of Practice to be recruited to enable bringing in industry experts in formulating various policies and practices for the school. The Director (Professor of Practice) has to provide leadership in the growth and development of the newly established school bringing in the experiences and practices in similar leading schools within the country and internationally. Among other things he is expected to lead the developments, design courses and curricula pertaining to Health Sciences, introduce new specializations as per best practices and latest technologies used in the industry. He will guide and be instrumental in developing the requisite infrastructure for the school, procure and promote resources for academic delivery of the School. He is also expected to provide the leadership in establishing research facility and promoting research in school. He will also encourage and establish industry collaborations, to give hands on training to the students. In short, Director will have to imbibe a vision to establish the school and taking it to responsible heights and establish it as a leading Institute of Health Science Studies and Research. Eligibility: The Professor of Practice will be as per guidelines and conditionality prescribed by UGC. The person besides having good academic grounding in any areas of Health Sciences, preferably with PG degree and specialization (with/without Ph.D) and should have experience of at least 15 years of which 3 years in leadership position in any recognized and leading Health Science / Institute research. Specialization in areas like Clinical, Public Health, Nutrition, Dietetics Therapy and rehabilitation, Immunology etc. will be preferred. Should have provided leadership/mentorship in research activity in any relevant areas of Health Sciences and demonstrable abilities of research collaboration.

Responsibilities

The Dean/Director will provide leadership in the growth and development of the newly established school, focusing on course design and infrastructure development. He will also establish research facilities and promote industry collaborations for hands-on training.
