Responsibilities
  • Partner with school administration in developing, implementing, and monitoring consistent school and staff expectations and practices, leading to a welcoming and culturally proficient learning community
  • Lead the implementation and monitoring of student management and conduct practices
  • Lead the implementation and monitoring of student attendance
  • Support students and partner with families and teachers through minor and major student discipline issues that may arise
  • Conduct readmittance process with students and families when appropriate
  • Partners with school administration to support deans for personalized learning with ongoing student behaviors related to, or impacting, learning (e.g., academic dishonesty, attendance, tardies, work completion)
  • Provide appropriate referral to deans for personalized learning, and/or other “pit crew” members (student & family advocates, school psychologists, behavior specialists, assistant principals, etc.), for students needing crisis intervention, emotional/social support and/or conflict resolution
  • Collaborate with behavior specialists, dean for personalized learning, and assistant principals to develop, implement, and refine targeted behavior support plans
  • Provides a channel of communication for students to express concerns about the school program
  • Partner in regular building-level leadership meetings with school administration
  • Assist building administration with supervision of after school and evening functions
  • Assist with daily student supervision as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned
