Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations Possesses a strong attention to detail and offers quality service. Follows procedures needed to maintain, clean and preserve a wide variety of building furniture, fixtures and equipment surfaces. Knowledge of cleaning supplies, equipment and techniques required. Follows instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Adheres strictly to rules regarding health and safety and is aware of any company-related practices. Works in an environment that is fast-paced and high in demand. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintains and makes general repairs to the plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical systems, appliances, ventilation systems and building structures of the club. Monitors the filtration and chlorination of swimming pools, tests swimming pool water; and maintains a daily log of water test results for local health department inspections. Performs routine preventive maintenance required by club’s procedures. Installs tile, drywall; makes grouting repairs, patches walls and paves brick. Repairs small motors. Locks and unlocks assigned buildings; checks for unlocked doors and windows and turns off lights. Performs any other reasonable duties as required by management. Attends regular meetings with the management team when scheduled. Maintains high standard of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing proper and complete uniform. Maintains regular attendance as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the Club. Physical Demands and Work Environment Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Required to stand for long periods and walks, climbs stairs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, bends, stretches and twists or reaches. Pushes, pulls or lifts up to 50 pounds. Continuous repetitive motions. Use ladders when required. Works in a hot, humid and noisy environment. Education and Experience Requirements High School diploma or GED required. One year of comparable maintenance work is preferred. Country Club or Golf Club experience is a plus but not required. Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. CPR/AED and/or First Aid Certification a plus.
