REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years PQE preferred
  • 5+ years in a Legal Executive or Paralegal capacity
  • Ambitious, determined and trustworthy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to meet all urgent deadlines while maintaining high standards
  • Knowledge of issuing court proceedings, requesting judgements and winding up petitions

Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients through meetings and interviews to provide expert guidance on the full debt recovery process, including initiating court proceedings, requesting judgments, and filing winding-up petitions.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of relevant documents and case law to ensure the accuracy of advice and adherence to procedures.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents and correspondence customized to meet each client’s unique requirements, in accordance with current legal standards and regulations.
  • Represent and negotiate assertively on behalf of clients when necessary.
  • Oversee and coordinate all aspects of cases to meet deadlines and escalate issues when appropriate.
  • Leverage professional networks to generate new business opportunities, contributing to the firm’s growth.
  • Monitor and achieve personal time recording and billing targets actively.
  • Provide supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring to solicitors, legal executives, and paralegals, while delegating tasks to ensure the achievement of their professional development goals.
  • Work diligently in accordance with professional standards, including those set out in the Office Manual, SRA principles, Lexel, CQS, and by the Legal Services Commission.
  • Utilize available software tools to offer high-quality, cost-effective, and efficient services to clients whenever possible.
  • Take ownership of personal development by proactively engaging in activities that ensure continuous learning, particularly staying updated on changes in relevant laws.
  • Undertake additional duties that contribute to the ongoing growth and success of the department and firm, ensuring the effective operation of the business.
