Description We are looking for a qualified and proactive NOC L3 Engineer to join our company as we continue to grow. A NOC L3 Engineer is the first level escalation for the NOC L2 watch. You will be required to answer calls, work remedy Tickets, troubleshoot network issues and train Junior Personnel. You will work closely with VOIP, Senior Engineers as well NOC L2 personnel. Ensuring service level agreements are met and providing courteous support for our customers. Prior service desk and desktop support experience is helpful. As L3 Engineer you will troubleshoot Wireless connections, Access Points, Cisco routers and switches. Work with remote locations Utilize tools such as Prime, Splunk, Remote desktop, wire shark and Netcool. Must have a solid working knowledge of Cisco, Wireless infrastructure and Circuit troubleshooting. Linux Server experience is also required for Netcool/ Tivoli support activities. NOC L3 engineers also participate in a 24/7 rotational on-call schedule to provide support to the L2 watch after hours. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or Technical Training (Computer Science or a related field) recommended. Motivated self-starter Minimum of 5 years working in a Network Operations or Service Desk environment. Experience interacting with users to identify requirements and resolve network problems. Experience working cooperatively and communicating effectively with management and colleagues. Demonstrated record of delivering quality customer service and communicating effectively both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of structured wiring systems and standards. Knowledge of network technologies such as TCP/IP, Ethernet and Wireless LAN protocols. Experience working with network firewalls, and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Linux Servers.
