MAP is seeking a talented Decision Support Analyst to join our growing team!
As a Decision Support Analyst, you will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and collaborate with various stakeholders at MAP to provide valuable insights, drive performance improvements, and support decision-making across MAP’s healthcare clinics. Your work will be central to optimizing clinic operations, enhancing patient care, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the organization through the integration and analysis of clinical, financial, and operational data.
This is a dynamic and collaborative role that combines advanced data analysis, performance monitoring, and strategic support within the healthcare sector.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • In-depth understanding of clinical environments and workflows, with a focus on how data and technology can improve patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of identifying cause-effect relationships between outcomes and various operational factors (e.g., practice patterns, workload, initiatives).
  • Strong ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for clinical, financial, and operational teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and deliver timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and data visualization tools for performance monitoring and reporting.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to foresee challenges when implementing data-driven solutions in clinical settings.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience analyzing healthcare data, identifying trends, and supporting decision-making is required.
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Healthcare Management, Business Administration, Data Analytics) is required.
  • Familiarity with CIHI and DADS datasets is an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Integrate clinical, financial, and operational data to support performance monitoring and evidence-based decision-making.
  • Develop and implement performance improvement measures, analyzing outcomes and identifying trends to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Create user-friendly reports and Power BI dashboards, ensuring insights are accessible and actionable for clinical and operational teams.
  • Analyze clinic workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend data-driven improvements to enhance productivity.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to provide insights for budgeting, forecasting, and performance variance analysis for MAP’s clinics.
  • Streamline financial processes and reduce manual tasks by integrating digital tools, including Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Assist the finance team by automating financial processes (e.g., reporting, bookkeeping) through technology solutions.
  • Maintain accurate databases for reporting, troubleshoot software issues, and collaborate with IT consultants to resolve technical challenges.
