Overview Drives compliance and risk management through data-driven insights and regulatory expertise. This senior-level role oversees data collection, analysis, trending, and reporting to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Applies deep knowledge of healthcare statutes and organizational operations to deliver actionable insights using data resources and technical tools. Manages ongoing risk assessments, compliance issue logs, and dashboards within the Compliance Case Management system. Maintains compliance documentation and reporting for executive leadership and Board-level review. Conducts detailed analysis, independent monitoring, and auditing—including billing, coding, and documentation reviews—while developing risk-mitigating action plans to support regulatory adherence and organizational integrity. Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: • Leads data collection, analysis, trending, and reporting to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations • Applies knowledge of healthcare statutes, regulations, and organizational operations to deliver actionable insights • Manages ongoing risk assessments, compliance issue logs, and dashboards within the Compliance Case Management system • Maintains compliance documentation and prepares reports for the Compliance Executive Committee and Board • Conducts detailed analysis and develops risk-mitigating action plans to address identified gaps • Performs independent monitoring and auditing, including reviews of billing, coding, and documentation accuracy • Responds to reported, suspected, or confirmed non-compliance in accordance with established protocols • Serves as a subject matter expert, liaison, and educator to finance and operational teams • Collaborates with compliance leadership to develop and monitor annual workplans and key initiatives • Participates in compliance meetings to support communication and alignment across the organization • Manages multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, organization, and attention to detail • Utilizes data tools and Microsoft Office applications to support reporting, tracking, and analysis Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Knowledge of compliance risk assessment and mitigation strategies • Experience conducting audits and preparing compliance reports • Strong skills in regulatory research and employee training • Ability to investigate compliance issues and recommend corrective actions Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in a health or business-related field with 3 years of experience in IT applications, database design and structure, or related compliance/reporting functions OR • Associate’s degree in a health or business-related field with 5 years of extensive experience in IT applications, database design and structure, and compliance/reporting • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in regulatory compliance and auditing • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) required Preferred Qualifications • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential • Experience working with Epic systems
