Reporting to the Cable Engine Superintendent, we are seeking a Deck Engine Driver Supervisor on our vessel the IT Infinity on 6 weeks on/off rotation. The primary focus will be to operate and maintain the Cable Equipment and supervise the team of DEDs/Fitters.

Responsibilities
  • Full understanding and execution of the cable engine operations as instructed by the OIM or his deputy
  • Maintenance (preventative and corrective) of cable equipment according to manufacturer specification in order to minimize equipment downtime during operations
  • Ensuring maintenance records are maintained
  • Ensuring all welding is conducted according to best practices, company procedures and local regulations are complied with
  • Supervising DED / Fitters
  • Requisitions of all spares and consumables
  • Organizing crew practice in order to maintain a high level of performance
  • Implementing HSE at the team level
  • According to rank, understanding international and national regulations, codes and guidelines, Company policies, and instructions on emergency duties
  • Reporting any events able to affect ship’s technical, environmental or safety performance
  • Keeping updated and properly logged all cable equipment certificates
  • Assisting other departments when required
